Sustainably woven and durable textiles for individualists
LOOMIQUE is my program to combine design, craftsmanship and sustainability.
Under this label I design and weave textiles for fashion and interior. From my many years of experience as an interior designer, I know that it is not easy to get custom-made cushions at a fair price. In addition to fast fashion, the ex and hop mentality is socially acceptable for more and more people in interior design. I would like to counter this development with handmade textiles.
I only design and weave unique pieces in small series, made in Berlin. It is important to me to show that contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship go well together.

The material makes the difference.
LOOMIQUE products consist exclusively of natural yarns. The sheep wool is mulesing-free and is spun and gently dyed in Sweden, England and Italy, the cotton is largely GOTS-certified. The studio is operated with green electricity.

Weaving is a time-consuming process. Making a pillow or a scarf requires many steps. A lot of time is needed from the design, the yarn selection, the threading of the warp to the finishing. The effort is worth it - a hand-woven fabric is always unique with a special character, in terms of feel and appearance it is not comparable to industrially manufactured goods.

My aim is to combine an old craft with modern designs, to weave contemporary textiles for people with character with natural yarns and to work as sustainably as possible. I want to show that this is possible.
It is important to me that you can enjoy the pieces for a long time, use them for many years and pass them on. In my opinion, this is the greatest possible sustainability.
